Pain does NOT = Surgery!

November 10, 20232 min read

Are you considering surgery for knee pain?

Kathy was too.

She had knee pain that was getting worse for the past few years.

She just accepted that walking was always going to be painful and that she might not be able to watch her grandchildren because she couldn't get on and off the floor to play with them.

She could barely bend her knee, and having JUST retired, she was worried that she was going to be spending the next year getting more cortisone and gel injections to help her manage or taking steroids which bothered her stomach.

When Kathy came to see us at AMP she felt defeated and that she'll “just give PT a shot" because her doctor told her that her knee wasn't "bad enough" to operate and that nothing could be done until her knee was ready for a knee replacement surgery…

Here’s the interesting thing about Kathy’s knee… When she came in for her assessment at AMP we identified that her knee pain was NOT an actual knee problem, and that no one ever looked at her hips and core.

And once we put together a customized plan to address her hip and core strength, Kathy was able to get her knee motion back AND strengthen her hips and core so that she could walk, exercise, and most importantly, play with her grandchildren!

She even got off the steroids she was taking so her stomach felt better!

She sent me this text the other day to show off how strong she has gotten because she is now able to get on and off the floor to play with her grandchildren...

I put her review here so you can hear her story in her own words… truly an inspirational testament to the importance of finding the root cause of pain and a customized plan of care to get you feeling better!

Would you like us to show you hot to solve your pain using your own body like we did with Kathy?

Have a great weekend,
