About AMP!

Our individualized and comprehensive approach provides natural, long-lasting solutions for active individuals who want to live pain-free and optimize their performance.

At AMP, we know what it’s like to feel physically stuck, let down, and out of hope due to an injury or lingering pain. We also understand the emotional toll it can take when that pain stops you from doing the activities that you love.

If you’ve tried physical therapy or other forms of treatment before and were disappointed or underwhelmed by your results, we’d like to affirm that you’re not alone. Many of our clients have told us they felt the same way before coming to see us.

Recognizing that the healthcare system is not always set up with patients’ best interests in mind, we created AMP with the intention of providing quality, patient-centered care with a focus on an exceptional experience that is catered to you and your specific needs.

AMP stands for Always Make Progress. It is our mission to make sure that you always make progress toward your goals.

About Our Team!

Dr. Shaun Astorga is a board-certified physical therapist who has overcome his own chronic pain and injury from a brain and neck injury after being written off by other medical professionals. His first hand experience managing his own chronic pain gives him a unique sense of empathy and compassion to his patients, which is exemplified through the quality of treatment he provides.

Like many of AMP's clients, Shaun became frustrated by all of the doctors and physical therapists who told him all of the things he "should not be able to do", instead of providing actual solutions to make his goals become a reality. Shaun learned quickly that most solutions offered to him were quick fixes that would not get to the root cause of his pain.

This experience is what caused Shaun to seek guidance on the complexities of the human body from well established practitioners around the nation, and through overcoming his own chronic pain, he implements his learnings into a comprehensive model of care that focuses on each patient as the unique human that they are.

By focusing on the uniqueness of each individual, Shaun and the team at AMP are able to help many dealing with long term pain even if they feel they've tried everything or have seen other PTs before.

Shaun has been lucky to work with athletes of the highest level, with extensive experience with athletes in the National Football League, World Figure Skating Championships, Olympic Figure Skating, Olympic Weight Lifting, Reebok Crossfit Games, Major League Soccer, UFC and Cage Fury Fighting Championships.

Dr. Monica Moore is a physical therapist at AMP Performance Rehab. Dr. Monica’s journey into the world of health and movement began at a very early age through dance. She became passionate in the art form and continued her studies at Rutgers University and obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Mason Gross School of the Arts.

After sustaining multiple injuries, she found herself frustrated with the lack of answers from providers who failed to look at the specifics of her body and movement patterns while understanding her physical needs as a dancer. When confronted with pain or injury, she was told to stop, rest, and wait until the pain went away before returning to her active lifestyle without any other guidance.

Her experience as an artist and athlete motivated her to become a practitioner that can help her clients understand their bodies better and help them return to what they love doing safely. Dr. Monica strives to make every session an educational experience in which clients can understand their body and discomforts and implement a game plan that is appropriate for the patient's needs. Every patient is a unique being and every game plan should reflect that.

Dr. Monica is passionate for rehabilitation all across the spectrum of life. Dr. Monica has been lucky to work with athletes of the highest level, with extensive experience with athletes in the National Football League, World Figure Skating Championships, Olympic Figure Skating, Olympic Weight Lifting, Reebok Crossfit Games, Major League Soccer, UFC and Cage Fury Fighting Championships and Broadway Performing Artists.

Monica holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University (Formerly UMDNJ) and is an adjunct professor at Montclair State University.

Dr. David Le is a physical therapist with a passion for helping people with injuries resume an active lifestyle. After earning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Widener University, David embarked on a two-year stint as a travel physical therapist, gaining diverse experience and honing his skills across various clinical settings. In total he has worked in 11 outpatient physical therapy clinics in 6 different states. Feel free to ask about his travels!

Before becoming a physical therapist, David had dealt with injuries of his own, one of which was a L2 spinal fracture that he sustained while skiing. He was seen by radiologists, spinal specialists, PT, and even a shoulder surgeon because of pain that developed during his recovery process. This experience with the healthcare system opened his eyes to the unfortunate reality that many providers do not show an interest in listening to their patients’ stories in order to fully understand their situation. As a result, David resolved to ensure no patient under his care would be made to feel unimportant or rushed, and that taking the time to listen and discuss a patient’s situation in detail would be a defining characteristic of his practice.

David’s dedication to learning and constantly improving his skillset led him to connect with Dr. Shaun Astorga who was a valuable educational resource to David prior to him becoming a part of the AMP team. Specializing in personalized care, David employs an individual approach tailored to each patient’s needs and goals. Through a variety of hands-on and movement-focused techniques as well as education and lifestyle modification, he empowers his patients to optimize function and enhance overall well-being.

Regina Russo is a marketing assistant who graduated Cum Laude from Muhlenberg College in May 2024, with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Business Administration and Media and Communications with a concentration in Marketing. During her time at Muhlenberg College, Regina made the Dean’s List six semesters, Centennial Conference Academic Honor Roll three semesters, and has been awarded membership into Chi Alpha Sigma, the national honor society for student athletes.

Regina has been playing soccer for as long as she can remember. Her passion for the sport was continued on Muhlenberg College’s Division 3 women’s varsity soccer team as a holding center midfielder. Unfortunately, Regina tore her ACL during her final year playing soccer. However, this injury led her to AMP Performance Rehab, where she received excellent post-surgery treatment. Now as marketing assistant, Regina is enthusiastic about leveraging her experience as a patient with AMP to enhance the company's marketing efforts and show others the value in the type of care AMP provides.

Anna Worth is an administrative assistant who currently attends Liberty University. In May of 2024, Anna will graduate from Liberty with a bachelor’s degree in therapeutic exercise science. During her time at Liberty, Anna has achieved a high honor roll and has obtained her American College of Sports Medicine Exercise Physiologist certification. She plans on getting her Master’s in Business and Administration in 2025.

Anna has had a passion for sports from a young age. She was a competitive gymnast for several years and now competes on Liberty’s Division I track and field team as a high jumper and triple jumper. After rupturing her Achilles tendon in 2021, Anna spent a lot of time in physical therapy and gained interest in the field. From that point on, Anna knew she wanted to work in the realm of physical therapy. After working with the AMP team, Anna grew a passion for the behind-the-scenes work she was doing, which inspired her to get her M.B.A. next year.
